Santiago Forero Ramírez (b. 1979, Bogotá) is a Colombian visual artist and educator working in photography and film. He earned an MFA in Studio Art from The University of Texas at Austin and attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. His work explores representations of the body in relation to self-identity, scale, space, and mass media imagery, often through constructed images that blur the line between the staged and the documentary. He has received fellowships from the Vermont Studio Center and the Civitella Ranieri Foundation. His work has been exhibited internationally across South America, the United States, and Europe, including Les Rencontres d’Arles, Paraty em Foco, and Unseen Amsterdam. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Art at Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia.
